Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40 day season leading up to Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Traditionally, on this day (Ash Wednesday), ashes are wiped onto the foreheads of Christians as a sign of repentance, and a reminder of our frailty and God’s incredible grace. This is one of the most ancient of Christian traditions, as we prepare to celebrate the most holy day on the Christian calendar - Resurrection Sunday.
Our Ash Wednesday service will consist of sung worship, a short teaching, and the imposition of ashes for anyone who desires to participate.
