Join us as we gather together to begin the season of Lent.
Historically, the church has commemorated the beginning of Lent through the marking of ashes on the foreheads of believers on the Wednesday forty days (not counting the six Sundays) prior to Easter Sunday. The ashes represent a call to repentance and serve as a reminder, as we reflect on our Lord’s sacrificial death and look forward to Resurrection Sunday.
We will worship in song, hear a short teaching on the meaning of Lent, and offer the ‘imposition of ashes’ for all who are who are willing.
Anyone is welcome!
