CURBSIDE GRACE
Given the fact that we’re all pretty much sick to death of living online these quarantine days, we wanted to do something extra special to bless our church family this season. So… After some extensive research, we discovered an ancient form of communication called ‘mail,’ and we thought it’d be fun if we all tried it out. (It’s pretty wild the way people used to stay in touch.)
But seriously, for Easter this year, since we can’t gather together physically, we thought we’d encourage each other via Grace City postcards instead! Logistically, we’ve tried to make it as simple as possible. Here’s how it’s going to work:
UPDATE
Make sure we have your current mailing address. If you’ve moved, or perhaps just haven’t gotten around to filling out a connection card yet, you can either 1) login to your ‘My City’ account and update your info, or 2) fill out a connection card HERE.DRIVE BY
Drive by Grace City’s MASON ST. BUILDING from either 12-1 or 6-7pm on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday leading up to Easter this Sunday (4/12). You’ll see a couple GC peeps out front in masks and gloves (standing at least 6ft. apart) with the goods ready for you (pre-stamped and addressed postcards, sealed goody-bags for our KidCity families, and one or two other little surprises too). You don’t even need to get out of your car. We’ll happily come to you. We call it curb-side grace!WRITE
Write an encouraging note on your postcard/s and mail it out by Good Friday. And don’t worry if you don’t personally know the individual whose address you might be given. Even if you simply prayed for the person and shared your favorite Bible verse, they’re going to be blessed by the grace of God!SHARE
Spread the word. And if you know of anyone who can’t make by the building themselves during one of the days or times, you’re welcome to grab extras to drop off.STAY HEALTHY
Whether you’re picking up curbside or dropping off for a friend, please remember to keep social distancing protocol. And as we’re using the postal system, please make sure to wash your hands as always.
It’s such a simple thing, but God has a way of using the simple things (and people) in life to do some really wonderful things. So lets give it go and see what happens. See you curbside!
